MEGAN TREBILCOCK
CERTIFIED PRACTICING SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
My experience as a speech pathologist has incorporated various health and community contexts at both a national and international level.
I began working as a certified speech pathologist within disability services before travelling to London to further advance my clinical skills within the field of neurorehabilitation. My role often expands to not only include standard clinical intervention, yet also the provision of education, quality improvement, counselling and patient advocacy.
As a result of my passion for working with individuals with aphasia (language difficulties following a brain injury) I am also completing a doctorate at the University of Queensland targeting the successful implementation of aphasia best practice.
I have contributed to the coordination of the inaugural Australian Aphasia Camp held on the Gold Coast in February 2021. I have also published and presented my research findings within international forums.
